New Affordable Workspace Opens in Southwold

A new hub for business owners offering affordable hot desk spaces and rents has opened in Southwold. Business support company MENTA will be responsible for the running of The Hub, after the project comes to fruition after a six-year period with support from Southwold Town Council and East Suffolk Council and funding from The Coastal Communities Fund and Suffolk Growth.


The Hub will offer:

  • Long and short-term tenancies

  • Co-working

  • Collaborations

  • Networking opportunities

  • Conference facilities

  • On-site professional support

  • Business training

  • Grant and funding advice

  • Virtual tenancies

  • Workshops

  • Events


Andy Jarvis, strategic director at East Suffolk Council, said: "Southwold is a holiday town, it’s really famous and lots of people come here, but it’s also a base for creative people to come and work, for small businesses to grow and develop.


I think that’s important. The Hub adds to the diversity and sustainability of the town - that’s the key thing I think."
