Brancaster House pledges support for Priscilla Bacon Hospice

People in Norfolk affected by life limiting illnesses are set to receive vital funds and financial support due to the partnership between Brancaster House Financial Planning and Priscilla Bacon Hospice.

Local Norfolk financial advisers, Brancaster House Financial Planning announced its commitment to supporting Priscilla Bacon Hospice by selecting the charity as its chosen charity of the year for 2024.

Priscilla Bacon Hospice, known for providing tranquillity, dignity, and essential assistance to families in Norfolk for over four decades, relies on funding including the generosity of local businesses through the charity’s 500 Club initiative. The funds raised within the 500 Club support the charity’s essential services, development, therapies, and overall assistance.

Brancaster House Financial Planning has embraced this initiative, with Co-Owners Shane Julian and Nicholas Halls joining the 500 Club and pledging its commitment to raising vital funds for the charity. To start its efforts, Brancaster House Financial Planning has set up a Just Giving page and will also be supporting the charity by providing free financial advice sessions in 2024.

Co-Owner Shane Julian stated, "End-of-life and palliative care has touched most, if not all, members of our team. We feel strongly that this is a cause our entire business can rally behind. We are looking forward to supporting Priscilla Bacon Hospice in 2024 and raising as much money as possible."

As part of the 500 Club, Brancaster House Financial Planning has pledged to raise £500 for the charity in 2024. These funds will contribute to the hospice’s mission of providing therapy and support to both in-patients and day patients during their treatment.

Brancaster House Financial Planning hosted a meeting at the Hospice in December, allowing its team to experience the site and understand the work the charity do for the community ahead of their pledge. Each of its team will have the opportunity to support the charity in a personal way, with some larger activities being completed as a collective.

Nicholas Halls, Co-Owner, emphasised the impact of the team's visit, stating, "We’re looking forward to seeing the difference we can make as a collective. We also hope to support the charity with financial advice, recognising that guidance during such a challenging time can offer strength and alleviate pressure."
